Now the biggie. Radio station of the year. Mmmm tough one. Rinse has been good as always - great news about them going legit this year, Sub FM is always good, I've been enjoying the All Caps shows on Glasgow's student radio station Sub City a lot recently too but after careful consideration and weighing up all the facts, it has to be Space Invader Radio.
With the exception of that racket that goes out every Sunday evening when Cubikmusik isn't on, every show is a belter. And now having been able to finally put some faces to names and voices last weekend, I can also say they are not only the biggest bunch of muso geeks you'll ever meet, they are also the friendliest bunch of muso geeks you'll ever meet.
To give out any special mentions would mean I would forget someone and the list would be far too long anyway but one must go especially to Andrea who has inspired almost everything I've been listening to this year. Oh and to Orsi because she wanted to be in the chart.
Finally, just to get a little plug in, this Sunday Songs Of Praise is taking over the station all day, from 8am to 8pm (gmt) playing some of our favourite tracks of the year and welcoming a few guests who we have loved over the past 12 months.
