First up Mixcloud

Blck

And for Blck's other Gil Scott-Heron meets Sun Ra tribute mix http://t.co/s4HuMXu

One of my all time favourite magazines, Muzik, has put the entire contents up as pdfs so you can go and find out what Sasha was playing in '96. My kind of fun filled afternoon.

Charlie Dark put up a great video of a brief history of his Run Dem Crew and old Attica Blues days. Can't wait for part 2.

Charlie also linked to these other videos recently, the first is pure poetry, the second is about homelessness from the perspective of the children.

Blawan has dropped a classic here. Sampling Brandy might seem like an idea everyone is doing at the moment but this one really rises above the rest. One of my favourite tracks of the year already I think.

Stac

I just heard the first track from Adam Scrimshire's (who featured on here before with his very clever re-edit of Whitney / Loleatta) new project, a singer by the name of Stac and thought I'd share it plus a bit of the PR blurb which sounds good too.
The gorgeous debut album from Stac is a unique blend of intoxicating harmonies, stunning live instrumentation and intricate songwriting.
With the help of friends Matthew HalsallHackney Colliery Band trombonist Magnus Dearness, string players from The Heritage Orchestra, Dan Clark (on harp and double-bass),Part-Time Heroes pianist Stephen McCleery, a twelve strong choir plus production from label mate Adam Scrimshire and the incredible Nostalgia 77, Stac has created one of the most beautiful albums of 2010.
“That lady is tasty!” Alice Russell
"Sounds like a young Minnie Ripperton" Mark Ronson
“Stac is DOPE!” Gilles Peterson (Radio 1)
“Stunning and beautiful. End of story.” Ashley Beedle (Xpress2)
“A gorgeous voice.” Mary-Anne Hobbs (Radio 1)
“Stac is amazing!” Brad Baloo (The Nextmen)

We beavered away for months getting this one right and then a couple of weeks ago it all came out.
You can listen to the whole thing now at http://stac.bandcamp.com
You can buy it direct from us there too. The CD version is just £8 and while you wait for us to send it, you get immediate download of the full album on MP3 or Flac Same Old Thing by Stac
